Experience
How leveling works in Forsaken World — earn EXP from monsters, quests, and instances, bank Double EXP while you're offline, speed the grind up with Lionheart Scrolls, and climb all the way to level 100.
Overview

Experience (EXP) is how your character grows in Forsaken World. Every monster you defeat, every quest you turn in, and every instance you clear feeds a single number — and when that number crosses the threshold for your level, you advance. From your first steps as a fresh adventurer all the way to level 100, experience is the heartbeat of your progress.
Why It Matters
Levels gate almost everything: the skills you can learn, the gear you can equip, the mounts and wings you can ride, and the zones, dungeons, and faiths that open up as you climb. Learning where EXP comes from — and how to make it flow faster — is the difference between a slow grind and a smooth, steady climb to cap.
Where Experience Comes From
- Monsters — every kill in the open world grants EXP scaled to the target.
- Quests — your main storyline is the single biggest source of early and mid-game EXP, and daily quests keep the flow going once the story slows down.
- Instances — dungeon bosses and full clears reward large EXP bundles, especially in a party.
Reading the Experience Bar
Your current progress sits along the bottom of the screen as a segmented bar:

What the bar is telling you:
- The unfilled stretch — how much experience still stands between you and the next level.
- The filled (blue) portion — your current experience toward that next level.
- A bright leading segment — your active Double EXP reserve. While it lasts, experience pours in twice as fast until the bonus is spent.

Some bars also show skill-scroll unsealing progress, and special milestone markers sit along the track:

Crossing into the blue of each milestone marker fully restores your HP, MP, and Spirit — a small reward for every step forward.
Leveling Faster
Forsaken World gives you several ways to speed the climb:
Double EXP Reserve

While you're logged out, your character quietly banks a Double EXP reserve. You begin with up to 1 hour of it, and it keeps accruing over time you spend offline, up to a 7-hour reserve. The moment you log back in and start fighting, that reserve kicks in — every kill earns experience twice as fast until it runs dry. The lesson is simple: when you stop playing, log out, and your next session starts with a boost.
Lionheart Scrolls

A Lionheart Scroll grants 30 minutes of Double EXP on monster kills. Activating one places a gold medal on screen, and Double EXP stays on until the medal's timer runs out — and you can pause it at any time. That means you can save your scrolls for a focused grinding session, then switch the bonus on exactly when you want it.
Purchasing Bonus Experience

When your Double EXP reserve runs low, you can top it up directly. Open the experience panel, choose how much bonus experience to buy with the slider, and confirm — your boosted gains resume right away. It's the fastest way to keep the Double EXP flowing during a long push toward cap.
