Special Bait

Overview

Special Bait is a Forsaken World fishing-profession reagent — used by Fishers to attract rare fish species not catchable with standard bait. Special Bait variants target specific rare fish, including those needed for Chef recipe rares and event achievements.

1. Bait

  Special Bait is an item that, when activated, grants a 20-minute status that increases the chance of catching special fish. Catching a series of special items unlocks an Achievement.

Special items themselves contain value or experience or grant access to obtaining them.

1. Ways to Obtain Bait:

   1. To craft Special Bait, you need to obtain a recipe. First, catch 20 Crystal Shells on Rainbow Island north of Free Harbor. No special items are required, just a regular fishing rod and a 4th-level angler.
   2. You can buy bait from other players or at the auction.
   • Note: Catching one crystal shell is part of an achievement.

2. Special Bait Recipes

   

   You can get a bait recipe from the fisherman's son, Dottie. Several recipes for the same bait are available, differing in the type of fish used as the base. Otherwise, the recipes are identical.

• Note: No energy or patience is spent on creating bait or processing fish meat.

1. Titles Special fishing titles can be obtained by turning in a certain number of special baits to NPC Hammer, who sits on the porch behind Niven. If you have the required amount of bait in your inventory, an exclamation mark will appear above Hammer's head.

• Note: Titles are available to players starting from level 60.

According to Hammer, "he is too greedy," so you can only receive one title per week.

1. Achievement The achievement consists of catching a series of special items. You need to catch each one.

For catching all items, except the crystal shell, the use of special bait is required.

• Note: Ice Tear is the item needed for the last fishing title, requiring 15 pieces. It is caught at the Beast Lake.
