Introduction
Ever wondered what keeps some guild bases running? Discover this through the Exorcism event, open to guild members and their friends. Gather additional resources for your guild and be rewarded with gifts.
A guild can only start this event if it has a base. All guild members who have reached level 30 can participate. The guild can initiate it twice a week, but players can receive rewards only once a week.
To start the event, the presence of the guild leader or a designated judge is required. The guild leader has the authority to activate the quest at the Guild Event Manager NPC on the base. Activation costs 10 gold coins from the guild's capital.
- Important: Activate the quest only when all participants are ready. A minimum of 20 players is recommended, and the maximum is 80 guild members. Friends of guild members can also participate, with a limit of 40 non-guild participants.
Once everyone is gathered at the Guild Base, the guild leader can activate the quest by selecting "Open" in the NPC dialogue, starting a 15-minute countdown for latecomers. Participants must register with the small NPC Teleport to Guild Base, highlighted in blue in the dialogue. After 15 minutes, the event will begin.
The event is divided into four stages, each requiring teamwork and attention. It's beneficial to form groups with at least one priest, vampire, or bard.
Upon teleporting, players will find themselves on a wide field with an energy node in the center, which is not needed. The event takes place here.
The event lasts 2 hours.
Benefits
The amount of experience gained depends on the number of players participating. The Exorcism event also provides a significant amount of guild contribution points and supports the guild's capital.
Stage I
The event begins. Three altars appear, highlighted in Yellow, Blue, and Red, along with narrow column reservoirs that continuously restore player health. Players should stick to their groups and distribute evenly among the altars. Players must take a Soul Particle from an altar and run to the corresponding color reservoir. Passing through the reservoir deposits the particle, and players can return for more. This can be done on foot or mounted.
Each particle deposited grants the player 1 silver coin to the guild's capital, 1 contribution point, and experience.
Monsters will appear to hinder players, and each time a player takes an item from an altar, they will be put to sleep for five seconds. Monsters will lose interest after a short time.
To fill one reservoir, players must deposit particles equal to twice the number of participants. Once filled, the reservoir disappears.
After filling all three reservoirs, players receive 22 silver coins to the guild's capital, guild merits, and experience. Rewards appear as bundles on the ground, which must be collected to proceed.
Stage II
After receiving rewards from the first stage, players can restore health and mana before the second stage begins.
Reservoirs disappear, replaced by Traps: six on each side of the center. Players must repair these traps for use in the final stage. Repairing is simple: click on a trap and wait for the process to complete.
Each repair action grants 1 silver coin to the guild's capital, 1 activity point, and experience.
The number of repairs needed per trap equals the number of participants. Fully repaired traps change form and are ready for the next stage.
After repairing all 12 traps, players receive 22 silver coins to the guild's capital, merits, and experience. Rewards appear as bundles on the ground, which must be collected to proceed.
Stage III
Rested and rewarded, participants prepare for the final stage.
A Boss appears with many monsters around the traps. These monsters are not aggressive and resemble those from the first stage.
Players must focus on the monsters. The Boss is shielded and invulnerable until the monsters are defeated.
Some players receive a buff: Protection from the Demon's Gaze. Use it if the buff
Each monster has 15-20 health points, but players deal only 1 damage per hit. Monsters' attacks are natural and depend on player defense. Players are advised to summon pets and use area attacks.
To significantly weaken the Boss's shield, players must kill about 100 monsters. Once done, an announcement will allow players to attack the Boss. Rewards include 22 silver coins to the guild's capital, merits, and experience.
Stage IV
Players should split again: those with lower attack power or levels should focus on the traps, while high-attack and healing classes fight the Boss.
Traps are crucial for defeating the Boss. One player per trap should continuously activate abilities. Each trap has three options: deal heavy damage to the Boss (fire, top option), reduce the Boss's attack (middle option), and weaken the Boss's shield (bottom option). Use damage and shield weakening frequently.
After defeating the Boss, players receive rewards as bundles on the ground. Each bundle contains 20 silver coins for the guild's capital, activity points, and experience.
The event is completed when the Boss is defeated and rewards are collected.
FAQ
Q: When do I need exorcism? A: When gear has hidden curses (rare), when removing soulbond status (some servers), when failed enhancement leaves stat penalties.
Q: How does exorcism work? A: At the Exorcist NPC (typically in major hub cities). Pay gold cost + reagents. Item is cleansed.
Q: Risks? A: Generally safe — exorcism doesn't break the item. Worst case it doesn't remove the property and reagents are wasted.
