Forsaken World flight — unlocks through main questline (level 40-50) via wings. Outdoor zones only (no instances, no PvP zones). WASD + altitude controls; aquatic without need for aquatic mount. Speed scales with wings tier.
Overview
Flight in Forsaken World refers to the unlock and mechanics of soaring through outdoor zones using wings. Flight is unlocked through quest progression and tied to the Wings system — without wings, you can't fly. Once unlocked, flight is a major quality-of-life upgrade for exploration, questing, and getting around the open world.
This article explains how to unlock flight, the mechanics of flying, where you can and can't fly, and tips for using flight efficiently.
Unlocking Flight
Flight unlocks through your race's main questline at a specific level milestone (typically level 40-50). You receive your first wings as a quest reward, and the flight system becomes available — press the dedicated flight key (default: F or jump twice quickly while wings are equipped).
How to Fly
Activate: Press flight key to lift off
Control: WASD for direction, Q/E or scroll for altitude
Speed: Most wings provide 150% movement speed equivalent in flight
Stamina: Some wings have stamina; running out drops you (but not fatally)
Карлотта Стар
Flying in the game serves more than just a decorative purpose. Besides allowing players to quickly travel between locations, it enables them to complete special quests and participate in aerial battles against flying mobs and other players. Characters can learn the art of piloting from level 55.
Getting Started
Once you reach level 55, you should visit Carlotta Star in Hossinger at Twilight Rest. She will give you the quest "Flight: Dance in the Sky". You don't need to do anything for this quest, just agree to the training.
Upon completion, you will receive:
Temporary (7 days only) flying device "Flying Barrel".
5 units of "Spirit Power Pollen"
Since this quest is part of the development category (Development Encyclopedia quests), you will also receive 40 Spirit Leaves.
You will earn your first flight title "Novice Pilot" and 1st level piloting skill. You can view your current piloting level in your character's attributes (Hotkey - C).
How the Flight System Works
Now that you have a flying vehicle, mount it by right-clicking its icon in your inventory (or double-clicking with the left mouse button).
After activation, you will see this window:
Let's break it down:
"Boost" (hotkey - E) - a special flight mode. It significantly increases movement speed, depending on your flying vehicle's characteristics. It consumes flight energy and mana.
Up (hotkey - Space).
Down (hotkey - X).
Flight energy (offline recovery rate 24 units/hour).
Minimize.
Important: Mana is actively consumed during flight. Ensure you have enough mana recovery potions and monitor your mana level to prevent deactivation of your flying vehicle, which will cause you to fall. In PvP mode, mana consumption increases significantly (this value is specified in your flying vehicle's characteristics).
"Boost" Mode
Switching to "Boost" mode changes the flight window as follows:
In this mode, movement speed increases significantly, and flight energy is actively consumed.
Flight Energy
Flight energy recovers offline at a rate of 24 units/hour. This is very slow, so you will need additional items for recovery. They can be purchased from Carlotta Star:

Spirit Power Shard
1800 units

Another item, "Essence of Spirit Power" (available in Eyrie's Shop), restores 4800 flight energy.
How to Increase Piloting Level
After learning the 1st level of piloting skill, two new bars will appear in your character's attributes (besides stamina and energy):
"Flight" - flight energy required for "Boost" mode.
"Time" - flight hours you need to accumulate to increase your piloting skill level (1 unit/minute).
To increase your piloting level, you will need certain items:
Heavenly Order
How to Accumulate Flight Hours
Fly, fly, and fly some more. You earn 1 unit of flight hours for every minute of flight.
Where to Get "Heavenly Orders"
"Heavenly Orders" can be exchanged for Honor Guard points with Irene Tarris, purchased from Carlotta (for 5 coins), or bought at auction.
Flight Hours Accumulated and Orders Obtained. What's Next?
Simply approach Carlotta Star and take the quest to increase your piloting skill "Piloting Skill: 2nd Level". To complete it, bring Carlotta one Heavenly Order.
Upon completion, you will receive:
10 units of "Spirit Power Pollen"
12 units of "Unknown Paint"
You will also earn the flight title "Skilled Aviator" and 2nd level piloting skill.

Painting Flying Vehicles
Some parts of flying vehicles are unpainted and have a dull gray appearance. This is intentional, allowing you to customize your vehicle's appearance according to your preferences.
Carlotta Star performs the painting procedure:
As shown in the image, place your flying vehicle in the "Fly. Vehicle" slot and the paint in the "Paint" slot (quantity doesn't matter as long as it's not less than required).
You will be informed which elements will be painted and how much paint is needed (the required amount is specified in your flying vehicle's characteristics).
Each painting procedure costs numies.
Titles
Players receive titles for each piloting skill level:

FAQ
Q: Where can't I fly?
A: Inside instances (dungeons), inside cities (some), in PvP zones during conflict events, and in starter zones. Ground travel only in those areas.
Q: Does flight affect combat?
A: Yes — most classes can attack while flying, but some skills require ground (especially melee). Flight combat is a niche playstyle.
Q: Faster wings = faster flight?
A: Yes. Higher-tier wings have higher base movement speed. Endgame wings are noticeably faster than starter wings.
Q: Can I fly across water?
A: Yes — flight bypasses water without the aquatic-mount requirement. Major shortcut for cross-continent travel.
