Introduction
Once a week, the Hunters' Union organizes a festival for adventurers. If you are one of them, gather your loyal companions and head out for the hunt. The event starts at 20:00 every Wednesday.
Depending on your level, the event will have different names, take place in various locations, and the tasks will vary slightly.
Hunting Season (Level 30-39)
The quest is taken from NPC Zuav, located just outside the Sand City (Sands of Oblivion) by the wall.
You have 30 minutes to collect as many Hunting Banners as possible .
NPC Zuav will also offer you , which should make it easier to collect banners. Accepting his offer, you will receive Bloodthirsty Wolf Bait in your inventory (Right-clicking it will attract [Shadow] Bloodthirsty Wolf).
Note: This bait is unnecessary as there will be plenty of wolves around.*
Once ready, head to the "Echoing Canyon" where the needed monsters [Shadow] Bloodthirsty Wolf (Level 35) reside.
Monsters with the [Shadow] tag are immune to debuffs. Simply attack them. When their health drops to 30%, they start fleeing from the tank (the one targeting them). Use the skill Demon Hunt to stop them for 1-2 seconds before they continue fleeing.
Defeating a [Shadow] Bloodthirsty Wolf grants a Hunting Banner and possibly the following trophies:
Bloodthirsty Wolf Bone
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 1 Hunting Banner.
Bloodthirsty Wolf Meat
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 2 Hunting Banners.
Bloodthirsty Wolf Hide
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 3 Hunting Banners.
Wolf Pup - Bad Blood
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 5 Hunting Banners.
Bloodthirsty Wolf Blood
Used to summon the wolf leader
If you obtain Bloodthirsty Wolf Blood and wish to summon the wolf leader, right-click the blood to summon it (If you're in the wrong place, a chat message will direct you where to go).
[Shadow] Frenzied Leader (Level 40) is similar to the wolves but hits harder and has more health. Defeat it similarly. Killing it grants its head, which disappears in exchange for 10 Hunting Banners.
Tip: It's time-consuming to fight it, especially when it starts fleeing. It's more efficient to kill [Shadow] Bloodthirsty Wolves and collect trophies.*
Hunting on the Glade (Level 40-49)
Teleport to the Fairy Forest at Blackberry Glade. To the right of the mnemonic stone, NPC Zur will give you a quest to collect Hunting Banners. Target - [Shadow] Frenzied Bull (Level 45). Time: 30 minutes.
Instead of bait, he will now give you a "Wild Bull Trap" .
Monsters [Shadow] Frenzied Bull are found around Blackberry Glade. As soon as you leave the glade, they will be visible.
The strategy is the same as with wolves: attack, and when health drops to 30%, the bull starts fleeing. Use the skill "Demon Hunt" to stop it for 1-2 seconds. When its health is at 10%, use the "Wild Bull Trap" to finish it off. (Note: Does not work on [Shadow] Stone Bull)
Defeating a [Shadow] Frenzied Bull grants a Hunting Banner and possibly the following trophies:
Wild Stone Bull Bone
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 1 Hunting Banner.
Wild Stone Bull Meat
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 2 Hunting Banners.
Wild Stone Bull Hide
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 3 Hunting Banners.
Fresh Grass
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 5 Hunting Banners.
Bull Manure
Used to summon the Stone Bull
If you obtain Bull Manure and wish to summon the Stone Bull, right-click the manure to summon it (If you're in the wrong place, a chat message will direct you where to go).
[Shadow] Stone Bull (Level 50) is similar to the bulls but hits harder and has more health. Defeat it similarly. Killing it grants a "captured bull," which disappears in exchange for 10 Hunting Banners.
Tip: It's time-consuming to fight it, especially when it starts fleeing. It's more efficient to kill [Shadow] Stone Bulls and collect trophies.*
Hunting on the Glade (Level 50-59)
At the same Blackberry Glade, NPC Zur will give you a quest to collect Hunting Banners. Target - [Shadow] Mutant Spider (Level 55). Time: 30 minutes.
You can also obtain "Ritual Hunting Equipment".
**
[Shadow] Mutant Spider resides in the Oblivion Lands in the Fairy Forest.
The strategy is the same as with wolves and bulls: attack, and when health drops to 30%, the spider starts fleeing. Use the skill "Demon Hunt" to stop it for 1-2 seconds. When its health is at 10%, use the "Trap" to finish it off. (Note: Does not work on [Shadow] Spider Queen)
Defeating a [Shadow] Mutant Spider grants a Hunting Banner and possibly the following trophies:
Spider Web
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 1 Hunting Banner.
Mutant Spider Meat
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 2 Hunting Banners.
Hide(?)
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 3 Hunting Banners.
(?)
Disappears upon entering inventory, granting 5 Hunting Banners.
Spider Queen Venom
Used to summon the Spider Queen
If you obtain Spider Queen Venom and wish to summon the Spider Queen, right-click the venom to summon it (If you're in the wrong place, a chat message will direct you where to go).
[Shadow] Spider Queen (Level 60) is similar to the spiders but hits harder and has more health. Defeat it similarly. Killing it grants 10 Hunting Banners.
Tip: It's time-consuming to fight it, especially when it starts fleeing. It's more efficient to kill [Shadow] Mutant Spiders and collect trophies.*
Tips
To earn as many Hunting Banners as possible, it's best to form a group to kill monsters faster and handle them when they flee. If you see you're not collecting 100 banners (needed for the achievement) in 30 minutes, ask other players to pass on trophies so you can collect them. Next time, you can help your group members collect 100 banners.
Important:**
Don't rush to turn in banners if time is running out. They won't disappear when time runs out, but make sure to turn them in by 22:30, or NPC Zur will disappear.
Also, stock up on "Demon Hunt Gems" and the skill "Demon Hunt". How to do this can be read here.
If a monster starts fleeing and you can't catch it, it will return to its place with full health if it gets too far away (evade).
Winter Hunt (Level 60+)
"Hunter Festival: Winter Hunt" task, hunt the Calidon Boar. In the starting location of Humans in Winter Heights, find NPC Zur (press U and select the event icon, the bottom left corner will show NPC Zur's name in green, clicking it will activate auto path). Talking to NPC Zur, you'll learn the hunt's target is a mighty boar, and you'll need to team up to catch it.
Note: Declining the quest means you can't accept it again, so choose the right time.
If you're ready, choose the quest "Hunter Festival"
Goals: Collect as many hunting banners as possible before the Hunter Festival ends, you have 30 minutes. Participate in the boar hunt. From the dead boar's body, collect trophies and exchange them with NPC Zur for banners. If you leave the area before the festival ends, the quest will fail, and related items will disappear.
Hunter Zur will offer you to exchange trophies for hunting banners. The type of trophies will determine how many hunting banners you get per item.
Hard Boar Bone - 1 banner
Thick Boar Hide - 2 banners
Calidon Boar Meat - 3 banners
Huge Boar Tusk - 5 banners
This event is not as simple as it seems; to complete it successfully, you need to turn in 50 hunting banners to NPC within 30 minutes, and trophies are obtained from the Calidon Boar wandering nearby.
During the boar hunt, you'll find items "Information Gathering" in your backpack - they are needed to collect trophies from the dead boar. If, using the first item, you get a hard boar bone, it's better to stop carving the carcass and start hunting the next boar, hoping its carving will yield a more valuable result.
Achievement and Titles
To earn the achievement, you must meet 4 conditions:
Perfect Hunt (Collect more than 100 banners 3 times and turn them in to NPC, if you collect exactly 100, it won't count);
Kill the Frenzied Leader;
Kill the Stone Bull;
Kill the Spider Queen.
If you collect 150 banners and turn them in to NPC, you'll get recognition in the world chat:
To earn a title, hunt the Calidon Boar and turn in different amounts of banners.
For example, for the 1st title - "Kali's Snow Boar Hunter," turn in 50 banners, for the second title - "Kali's Snow Boar Slayer," turn in 70 banners, etc.
