Overview

Main Questline: The First Lands is the introductory racial main questline in Forsaken World — every race has its own First Lands variant covering origin lore, racial homeland tutorial, and the path to the broader world. Levels 1-20 territory, the foundation for all character progression.

This article walks through the questline structure, key NPCs, lore beats, and rewards.

Survivors

You find yourself in an unfamiliar place. Nearby stands Commander Edward Edge of the Silverwings, who informs you that the airship has crashed, leaving many warriors injured.

Aid of the Dryad

Edward Edge tells you that all medicines were destroyed. There was a griffon on the ship whose blood has healing properties, so the commander asks you to kill the griffon. Approaching the griffon, you hear a dryad's plea not to kill it and are told where to find ancient lotuses, whose flowers are a strong remedy. Collect three flowers and bring them to Edward.

  • Reward: 155 experience points, 11 50

On the Way

The Silverwing Commander asks you to go to the Temple of Creation to find out what's happening and how to escape. You hear that a Lionheart Knight is fighting a Storm Legion centaur nearby and go to assist. Report the centaur's defeat to Barrend, who thanks you and gives the next task.

Emergence of the First Lands

An injured dryad tells you about the First Lands: they were the first to appear and were part of the continent of Eyr, but only the progenitor of the dryads knows how they truly came to be. The progenitor is the World Tree, which created these lands.

The First Lands are divided into four regions: the Temple of Creation, the Western Border (to the west), the Dead Lands (to the south), and the Icy Edge (to the northeast). The Icy Edge became the arena for the first war of the gods and sank entirely underwater. Both the eastern and northern lands turned into deserts.

In the Temple of Creation resides the dryad progenitor, Laania, who alone can help you leave the First Lands.

In the Dryad Village

Barrend asks you to find the Three Forest Protectors. First, meet with the dryad elder and give her Ice Wine to establish relations with the dryad village.

Rules of the Dryads

Before speaking with the protectors, you must learn the rules of the dryads. Two quests will appear, which can be completed in any order. After completing both tasks, return to the elder.

  • Secrets of Hunting: A hunter dryad wants to teach you hunting secrets but faces a problem with mutated toothbeasts. She asks you to deal with them (kill 5 toothbeasts on the other side of the lake).

  • Secrets of Agriculture: A farmer dryad explains how to grow plants. She asks you to pick a berry from a berry bush, eat it (open your backpack and use the berry), and plant the remaining seed in fertile soil (found on the island behind the farmer dryad).

Ancient Longhorn

The elder tells you to go to the ancient Great Park and speak with the guardian of the great tree, Longhorn.

Guardian's Conditions

Longhorn says he will let you into the Temple of Creation only on one condition. You must grow a seed that Longhorn will bind to your soul and plant it in the ground. To make the seed sprout, you need to obtain two tears of the dead.

Legend of the Mages

Hossinger Apelio, standing to the right of Longhorn, will give you the tears of the dead. Apelio gives you a chronicle fragment and sends you to Korichneus, a descendant of ancient dwarves, who will give you one tear in exchange for the chronicle. Return to Hossinger for the second tear.

Speak with Longhorn, who will give you a spirit seed in exchange for the tear, which you need to show Apelio. He asks you to kill 10 poisonous ancients to fill the seed with their souls. Then approach Longhorn and use the spirit seed.

Path to the South

Longhorn grants you permission but says you must meet two of his friends: in the Dead Lands and the Abandoned Edge. The first you will meet is Batto.

Into Battle!

Batto asks you to kill 15 hobgoblin warriors.

Breaking the Siege

Curse of the Dead Lands

Something is draining Allen's life force. Searching for the cause, you come to the cerberus Sagero, who asks you to bring him three griffon eggs. Afterward, the cerberus gives you tooth slime to lift Allen's curse.

Ravaged Land

Allen sends you to learn about the guardian of the Dead Lands from the cerberus. Sagero tells you that the guardian was Drywood, but now the cerberus replaces him. To find out how to get the ruler's permission, you need to speak with Otto, the king of the Frangors.

Conversation with Otto

Otto will help you get the guardian's permission but first asks for a lava crystal (obtained from stonelings. It may take a while, so it's better to use auto-battle). Once you obtain the crystal, Otto gives you a game certificate to take to Drywood.

Playing with Death

To get Drywood's permission, you must kill 15 dark gnome musketeers in 15 minutes.

Second Round

Now Drywood asks you to kill Blackhoof. He is immune to regular attacks, so Otto gives you an item to help defeat the centaur.

Drywood's Proposal

Drywood agrees to let you pass only if he can summon you to the First Lands at any time, and you cannot refuse.

At the exit of the Dead Lands, Erlinnia Skyface awaits you.

Fly, Warrior!

Erlinnia helps you and Allen escape the Dead Lands by flying on a griffon. Upon landing, you meet Chris.

Fury of the Gnomes

Chris tells you they are surrounded by terrifying clawed snakes. Using gnome armor, you must kill several snakes. After the battle, find Barton in the Abandoned Edge.

Colonel Grond asks you to meet with the seer.

Seer's Hope

Old Cliff asks you to find the ghost of his friend Kobos (to free the spirit, you must kill a monster with the same name) and bury him next to the tombstone.

Living Corpse

Old Cliff explains that the guardians return the souls of fallen heroes of Eyr to the First Lands, which is why you met Hossinger, Otto, and Erlinnia. When the northern continent sank underwater, the guardian Ice Tree became angry and imprisoned the souls of elves and Frangors. Old Cliff wants to help them be freed. To do this, you must kill ancient ghosts.

Path to the Temple of Creation

Old Cliff grants you permission to enter the Temple. Find Siumar, who will help you reach the Temple of Creation on a griffon. Upon landing, you see Mowen.

Covenant of the Gods

You have the chance to speak with great heroes. The ruler of the Vesperians, Lilia Ost, Kazmer Ost, the moon goddess Tilla, the night god Miles, Corvus, Queen Rose, Dezil, Shalia - all gathered in the Temple of Creation.

Corvus asks you to go to Eldaram and find the relic "Natural Light." Talk to Laania, she will help you leave the First Lands.
