Overview
New Year Festival is Forsaken World's annual New Year event — themed activities, decorations, and limited-time rewards across all major cities for ~2 weeks each January. Festival rewards include unique cosmetic mounts, fashion clothing, and event-only consumables.
This article covers mechanics, rewards, scheduling, and tips for getting the most value from this activity.
Every year from December 28 to January 8, the world of Eyr hosts the New Year Festival. Players can find Christmas trees with gifts such as Gingerbread Cookies and Celestial Protection Potions at each mnemonic site. Players level 20 and above can participate in the festival.
Winter Has Come
Players can receive a quest from the NPC Snegurochka (a young lady in a red costume near the mnemonic sites) to go to Merry Mountain (the starting location for dwarves) and participate in the Winter Gift Festival. In the snowy Camp of Joy, filled with Christmas trees and garlands, players will find many NPCs offering various quests. Completing these quests rewards New Year Carnival Badges, which can be exchanged with Santa Claus for items such as boxes of ginger ice cream or rare pets.

FAQ
Q: When does New Year Festival run?
A: Annually, around Lunar New Year (late January / early February). Runs 1-2 weeks. Check in-game event calendar for exact dates each year.
Q: Best New Year activities?
A: Festival Quests in Hossinger central plaza — one-time per year, generous rewards. Festival Daily Quests — repeatable for the duration. New Year Mini-Games — for fun + small bonuses.
Q: Are festival rewards available year-round?
A: No — they're limited to the event window. Some festival mounts/cosmetics return in subsequent years; others are truly one-time. Event tradition matters for collectors.
Q: Is this activity worth doing daily?
A: For active players past level 50, yes — recurring activities provide reliable income that compounds across weeks. Skip only if scheduled timing genuinely doesn't fit your play sessions.
