Overview
Sealed Skill Scrolls are level-60+ skill progression items in Forsaken World — consumable scrolls that teach new skills beyond the standard talent-tree options. Each class has its own scroll catalog covering signature finishers, transformations, and high-cooldown abilities.
This article covers mechanics, progression paths, and tips for getting the most from this system.
Introduction
Before reaching level 60, you were used to learning skills by simply visiting your class trainer or opening the Skills and Talents (K) menu and paying some numens. Forget everything you learned before. Once you pass level 60, be prepared to invest additional experience into each new skill and upgrading old ones.
How It Works
Upon reaching level 60, you automatically receive your first sealed skill scroll for free! Ensure you have at least one free slot in your backpack; otherwise, the system will notify you, and the scroll will be added once space is freed.
In the new window, you can learn what to do with the scroll. Previously, experience was returned after unsealing the first scroll, but in the "Birth of Chaos" update, any unsealed scroll retains the experience. Click the scroll with the right button and place it in the unsealing slot.
Your experience bar is replaced by a scroll unsealing bar, filled with yellow to avoid confusion. No additional experience is shown, but it still applies. During unsealing, you won't see "golden arrows"—divisions on the experience bar that restore all three bars: HP, MP, and spirit.
While the scroll is in the unsealing slot, all gained experience goes towards its unsealing. You can remove or replace it at any time. If the slot is empty, the character receives the experience.
To remove a scroll, open the unsealing interface using the new shortcut in your interface:
or through the character information interface (key "C")
After opening the scroll, you receive a "manual" that grants you the skill without spending additional numens. Since the experience used for unsealing is not returned, you must choose between leveling up or unsealing skill scrolls.
Main Method of Obtaining Scrolls
No longer do you need to spend days at the auction or farm dungeons and world bosses for rare skill scrolls. All scrolls are now available from NPC Ghost Ernie on the airship in Hossinger. You can reach it via the Twilight Magic Airship Mnemonic (through any mnemonic, selecting the Twilight Airship Portal in Hossinger) or on a flying mount.
In conversation with Ernie, select the option "Special Item of Princess Rose - Scrolls Tab".
Hovering over any scroll reveals its name, required level, class, experience needed for unsealing, and other useful information. Scrolls available for your level have a normal icon color. Scrolls already learned are highlighted in red, with a red note stating "This skill is already learned." Scrolls unavailable due to level are also highlighted in red, with the required level shown in red. They can be purchased but not unsealed until the required level is reached.
To purchase skill scrolls, you need the item:
Hellgate Stone
Note that a Hellgate Stone is required to purchase scrolls for levels 60-80 (1 piece) and levels 81-90 (2 pieces) along with 1 50 .
Additional Methods of Obtaining Scrolls
Some scrolls, besides being exchanged with Ernie, can be obtained in various ways:
Exchanged for numens with your faction's honor master.
Exchanged for guild merits and numens with NPC Ansel in Hossinger.
Exchanged for Silver Virsi Cups or Spirit Virsi Cups with NPCs Sidila and Leslie in Dreamwood.
Open a scroll box rewarded for Aurora.

Exchanged for arena points with arena dealer Brighton.

FAQ
Q: When do I start needing Sealed Skill Scrolls?
A: Level 60. Up to 60, all skills come from the Skills and Talents menu. Past 60, sealed scrolls are how you learn the late-game class signatures.
Q: Where do scrolls drop?
A: Endgame instances, world bosses, daily quests at level-appropriate hubs, and the Eyrda Boutique.
Q: Can scrolls be re-used?
A: No — sealed scrolls are consumed on use. The taught skill stays permanently. If you reset talents, the skill remains learned.
