Forsaken World talent system — passive abilities that enhance class skills. Each class has 3 talent trees; max 71 points awarded from level 20. Pure vs hybrid builds, Talent Conjugation for Nobles to swap between two pre-saved loadouts.
What are Talents?
Talents are passive abilities that enhance a character's skills. They speed up skill cooldowns, add additional properties (extra damage, control, healing-on-hit), or grant new active abilities specific to that branch. The combination of allocated talents defines a build's identity — the same class can play very differently depending on which talent tree the player commits to.
Each class has access to three talent trees (sometimes branches). Choosing a tree shapes which skills become amplified, which elemental mastery to prioritize on gear, and which playstyle the character emphasizes (burst, sustain, support, control).

Talents form the foundation of any build. Each tree contains three unique active skills exclusive to that tree — these unlock at fixed milestone investments and become available in your skill list automatically.
The talent tree choice determines:
Which skills get passive bonuses (cooldown reduction, damage increase, etc.)
Which elemental masteries gear should target
The character's primary identity (heal, burst, sustain, control)
Note that for classes available to multiple races (e.g., Warrior available to Humans and Elves), some talents may have slight differences between racial variants.
How to Obtain Talent Points
Talent points are awarded at each level starting from level 20. Maximum at endgame: 71 talent points to allocate across all trees.
When you level up and a new point is available, an icon appears under your avatar.
To check current talent allocation:
Press N (default) to open the Talents menu
Look at the bottom right corner for the unallocated point count
The currently selected tree and points invested
Number of talent points available for allocation
Allocating and Resetting Talents
Talents are learned by clicking the "+" icon in the corner of each talent node. Since the 71-point budget is limited, focus matters: investing points across multiple trees creates hybrids that surprise opponents but generally underperform pure builds in standard PvE and PvP.
Pure vs Hybrid Builds
Pure builds (all 71 in one tree)
Most effective in PvE and structured PvP
Unlocks all three exclusive active skills of the tree
Predictable but powerful
Hybrid builds (e.g., 50 in main tree + 21 in secondary)
Surprise factor in PvP — opponents predict from full-tree assumptions
Lose access to deep tree finishers

Talent Enhancement with Runes
Some talents can be enhanced beyond their maximum level using runes. This lets you push key talents past their natural cap, freeing up points elsewhere or letting you commit more deeply to the highest-impact talents. Runes can also be used to learn talents from other trees without spending standard talent points.
Talent Calculator
Pre-allocate planned talents using the talent calculator before committing in-game. Avoids wasted resets.
Resetting Talents
To reset all talent points and reallocate:
Visit your class trainer
Select "Reset Talents" in the dialogue
Pay the gold cost (scales with level)
Reallocate points fresh
Don't be afraid to experiment — resets are designed to be done multiple times during a character's progression.
Talent Conjugation (Noble Feature)
Nobles of level 4 and above unlock Talent Conjugation — the ability to switch between two pre-saved talent trees without resetting.
To activate:
Press N to open Talents
The Conjugation button appears in the lower-left corner
Pay 5 (currency item) to enable
Once enabled:
Switch between trees once per hour for free
If you need an urgent switch, reset the cooldown for 5
Skill bar layout is auto-saved per tree — switching automatically restores the right skills to your Quick Access Bar
This is invaluable for players who want a PvE build for instances and a PvP build for arena, switching seamlessly between them.
Strategy
Levels 20-40: Focus all points on a single tree to unlock its first active skill at L30 and amp up core damage/sustain.
Levels 40-60: Continue committing to the main tree to unlock the L55 active skill — usually a major class-defining ability.
Levels 60-90: Final 71-point allocation. Most players go pure tree at this stage; hybrids only if you've invested in runes for cross-tree access.
Endgame respec: Once full 71 points are unlocked, experiment with hybrids and Conjugation to switch between PvE/PvP loadouts.
FAQ
Q: Can I respec talents anytime?
A: Yes — visit your class trainer and pay the gold cost. There's no daily limit, just the cost scaling.
Q: When do I get my first talent point?
A: Level 20.
Q: What's the maximum total talent points?
A: 71 at endgame (level 90).
Q: Pure tree or hybrid?
A: Pure tree wins for standard PvE and ranked PvP. Hybrids are for advanced players with rune access who want to surprise opponents.
Q: How does Talent Conjugation differ from a normal reset?
A: Conjugation switches between two pre-saved trees instantly with no gold cost (after the initial 5-currency setup). Normal reset costs gold each time and only stores one allocation.
