Overview

Runes are a major endgame progression system in Forsaken World — equippable enhancers that modify or amplify specific class talents. Where talents shape your build's identity, runes fine-tune individual skills within that build, raising damage, lowering cooldowns, adding procs, or unlocking entirely new active skills.

This article catalogs the Sharpshooter (Marksman)'s runes by talent branch, listing each rune's effect, target talent, and the rune levels (common, uncommon, rare) where they drop.

How Runes Work

  • Slotting: Each talent that can be rune-enhanced has a dedicated rune slot — visit your class trainer to slot a matching rune.
  • Rune levels: Common runes (levels 3-5) are the standard tier. Higher-level runes amplify the effect proportionally.
  • Class-specific: Runes only work for the matching class — a Priest rune slotted by a Warrior does nothing.
  • Two effect types:
    • Passive enhancers — improve existing skill values (damage, healing, cooldown)
    • Active skill unlocks — runes marked "Active Skill" add a brand-new active ability to the talent

  • Daily quests at level-appropriate hubs
  • Instance and dungeon drops (especially endgame instances)
  • Auction House — between players for gold
  • Eyrda Boutique — guaranteed bulk supply
  • Special events — limited-time rune drops

Eye Branch

Rune Talent Bonus Found on Runes
Weakness Mark Increases the duration of "Hunter's Mark" by 2/4/6/8/10/12 seconds, additionally reducing enemy defense by 1/2/3/4/5/6% and 60/75/90/105/120/135 points. Common: Level 4, 5
Enhanced Bullet Increases additional damage of "Shooting" skill by 2/4/6/8/10/12% plus 10/20/30/40/50/60% of Earth mastery. Common: Level 3, 4, 5
Spirit Concentration Reduces MP consumption by 15/30/45/60/75% and increases critical hit chance by 2/4/6/8/10% when using "Shooting" skill while disoriented. Common: Level 3, 4, 5
Accurate Shot Active Skill Deals 100% base damage + 1313/2312/3293/4256/5200 additional damage. During "Explosive Bullets" effect, "Accurate Bullet" causes bleeding. Over 10 seconds, the target loses 29/46/64/81/98 health per second. If stacked 3 times, there is a 25% chance to knock the monster back 4m. After activating "Explosive Bullets," one bullet is consumed, increasing damage by 20%, doubling bleed effect, and increasing knockback chance to 100%. Common: Level 5

Thick Cloud Enhances slow effect caused by Weakness by 10/20/30%. Reduces cooldown of the talent by 15/30/45 seconds. Common: Level 5
Bullet Trail "Shooting" additionally reduces target's defense by 25/50/75/100/125 for 10 seconds. Common: Level 5
Soul Energy Restores 1/1.5/2/2.5% of maximum mana upon receiving an Accurate Bullet. Common: Level 4, 5
Contact Increases critical hit chance when using "Aimed Fire" by 1/1.5/2/2.5%. Increases skill duration by 5/10/15/20 minutes. Common: Level 3, 4, 5
Sniper "Burning Shot" knocks back targets with HP above 30/20/10%. Accuracy of "Powerful Shot" increases by 20/40/60. Using "Hunter's Mark" increases "Powerful Shot" casting speed by 50/100/150% for 10 seconds. Common: Level 5
Brave Spirit Active Skill. Aura Increases attack of all party members within a 16m diameter by 50/70/90% of their accuracy. Consumes 0.3% mana every 2 seconds after aura activation. Common: Level 5

Respite Restores 1/1.5/2/2.5% of maximum HP upon receiving an Accurate Bullet. Common: Level 5
Quick Disorientation Reduces cooldown of "Shot of Terror" by 1/2/3/4/5/6 seconds and increases additional skill damage by 2/4/6/8/10/12%. Common: Level 4, 5

Soul Discord Increases chance of Disorientation state when using "Shot of Terror" by 5/10/15/20/25%. Deals additional damage of 60/120/180/240/300 if the target has less than 25% HP. Common: Level 4, 5
Experienced Hunter "Hunter's Mark" additionally reduces target's evasion by 5/10/15/20 and increases skill range by 3/6/9/12m. Common: Level 3, 4, 5
Smooth Disappearance Increases duration of "Hunter's Mark" by 2/4/6/8 seconds and Weakness by 1/2/3/4 seconds. Common: Level 4, 5
Soul Catcher's Shot Active Skill Deals 100% base damage + 663/1112/1552/1984/2407 additional damage. Grants 1 Accurate Bullet, each increasing accuracy by 1. During "Explosive Bullets," bullets are not consumed, and attack power increases by 20%. Target under "Hunter's Mark" loses 6/8/10/12/14% mana and an additional 150/300/450/600/750 MP. Remnants of Power Increases absorbed damage by 10/20/30/40% and reduces MP consumption by 20/40/60/80% when using "Soul Fracture." Common: Level 3, 4, 5
Furious Barrage Active Skill Fires 6 consecutive shots, dealing 75% base + 643/1027/1383 additional damage. Requires at least 1 Accurate Bullet, consuming up to 3. If fewer than 3 bullets, all 6 attacks cannot be completed and will be interrupted. During "Explosive Bullets," there's a 30% chance to consume an additional bullet, halving cooldown speed. Common: Level 5

Stray Bullet "Shot" skill has a 20/40/60% chance to generate 1 Accurate Bullet if not disoriented. Reduces "Shot" cooldown by 0.5/1/1.5 seconds if "Explosive Bullets" is active. Common: Level 5
Spirit Focus When receiving an Accurate Bullet using "Reload," there's a 15/30/45/60/75% chance to gain an additional bullet. Reduces "Reload" interruption chance by 25/50/75/100/125%. Decreases "Reload" cooldown by 3/7/11/15/19 seconds. Common: Level 5

Shredding Shrapnel Increases "Piercing Wound" skill damage by 10/20/30/40%. During "Explosive Bullets," increases slow duration by 1/2/3/4 seconds. Common: Level 4, 5
Hurricane Fire Active Skill Attacks targets within a 120-degree sector, dealing 100% base + 791/1436/2069/2690/3300 additional damage. Applies burning effect, removing 60/120/180/240/300 HP per second for 5 seconds, depending on fire mastery. During "Explosive Bullets," consumes 1 Accurate Bullet, dealing 30% more damage. Increases burn duration and additional damage based on fire mastery. Common: Level 5

Furious Flame Active Skill Increases base damage of the next three attacks by 15/20/25% for 15 seconds. If damaged during skill casting, enters "Rage Burst" state, increasing critical chance for the next three attacks, lasting 15 seconds. Common: Level 5

Soul Resistance If attacked while in "Soul Fracture" state, increases resistance to all elements by 10/20/30/40 and defense by 10/20/30/40. Stacks up to 3 times, duration 10 seconds. Common: Level 5
Cleansing Flame Reduces MP consumption of fire attack skills by 6/12/18/24/30/36% and increases their attack power by 1/2/3/4/5/6%. Common: Level 5

FAQ

Q: When should I start investing in runes? A: Past level 60. Before that, focus on talent points and gear refining. Rune scaling shines at endgame where individual skill bonuses compound.

Q: Common, uncommon, rare — which to chase first? A: Common runes (levels 3-5) for your primary talent branch. Once those slots are filled, target the rare runes for top-tier effects. Don't chase rare runes for branches you don't use.

Q: Best rune for new Sharpshooter (Marksman) players? A: Look for runes in the Eye branch that match your talent investment. Even basic common-level runes provide noticeable buffs in early endgame.

Q: Are runes reusable / re-slottable? A: Slotted runes can be removed at the trainer for a small gold cost. Removed runes return to inventory. Plan rune purchases carefully but don't fear early commits.
