Trade Journey — caravan/merchant activity where players carry merchandise between cities for gold, faction rep, and rare reagents. Some routes PvP-flagged for higher rewards. Stack with dailies for max income.
Overview
Trade Journey is Forsaken World's trade-route activity where players carry merchandise between cities for profit. Each leg of the journey grants gold, faction reputation, and rare reagents — but bandit ambushes and PvP-flagged routes add risk for higher rewards.
This article covers mechanics, rewards, scheduling, and tips for getting the most value from this activity.
Basics of Trade Journeys
A Trade Journey is a quest that increases the level of the Trader profession. Completing this quest does not provide any material benefit in terms of earning gold coins or items that can be sold to other players. The reward for completing the quest includes a large amount of numen, trader honor, and guild merits (in the case of a guild trade assignment).
Trade Journeys are available to players level 30 and above, although the Trader profession is only available from level 40. However, with a developed Trader, the benefits of these journeys increase significantly, as the number of trade journeys, the variety of goods to trade, and, most importantly, the number of trade slots increase.
There are two types of trade journeys:
Personal trade assignment (available to all players);
Guild trade assignment (available to players in a guild).
The essence and principles of personal and guild trade journeys are the same, differing only in the final reward.
Important:
In one day, you can either complete personal trade assignments or guild trade assignments. If you take a personal trade assignment, you cannot take a guild one on the same day and vice versa.
If the number of accepted quests is 20/20 when attempting to take a trade quest, you may not receive the assignment. The trade quest does not appear in the quest list, and you cannot take it with a full list.
As you level up the Trader profession, remember to purchase profession skills from NPC Mani (located next to Christopher in Hossinger) or the Trader at the Guild Base.
If you are killed during a trade journey, the quest will be marked as failed, and you will lose trader honor points.
This is how the "Trade Journey" icon looks - it appears in the upper right corner of the screen in your buff line. While you have this buff, you are in trade mode. During a trade journey, you cannot:
Use Mnemoliths and Teleports;
Use the "Return" skill - it is blocked during the quest;
Enter an instance by any means: neither through the automatic party matching system (via T) nor through NPCs.
You will have to move around the world of Eyr using Trade Caravans (marked on the map with the icon ), which can be found in each location. They allow movement between locations without using teleports. Trade Caravans can only be used during a Trade Journey.

How to Run
A trade assignment can be taken from any NPC with the [Trade Union] sign, located in specified locations.
The essence of a trade journey: we buy goods from one trader, transport them to another trader, and so on until we reach the required amount.
You can monitor trade success by opening the trade window: find it by opening the inventory and selecting the "Trade" tab. It shows how much money (Trade Union currency - special Mercuries) you have received and how much you need to collect to complete the trade assignment. It also shows how much merchandise you have for sale. Additionally, there is an emergency cancel button for the Trade quest (Cancel) if, for any reason, you cannot reach the Trade Union representative to submit the quest.
Trade assignments can be completed in various ways: you can choose the location and route according to your preference.
Important:
Goods are valued differently in various places. Goods with a specified sale location are more profitable to sell at the specified location. Goods without such a tag can be sold anywhere.
The maximum number of goods that fit in one slot is 50 units.
The available quantity of goods for purchase varies. For example, one item is available in quantities of 200 units, another 80 units.
Remember to use Trader skills for the best results: check market forecasts, bargain (skills Trader and Dealer) - lower purchase prices, increase sale prices.
Depending on the Trader profession level, a limited number of quests are available per day.

During the quest, pay attention to the numbers in the lower right corner of the "Trade" tab.
The first number indicates the amount of money (Mercuries) given by the Trade Guild for transactions in this round.
The second number (after the slash) is the amount you need to reach for the trade journey round. Once the amount turns orange, you can no longer buy goods from traders, but you can sell if you have any left.
During different rounds by the same player, these numbers will change as follows: the initial amount of Mercuries given by the Trade Guild decreases with each subsequent round in the same day.
Depending on the trade quest round, a certain amount of Mercuries is given:
1 - 20,000
2 - 18,000
3 - 16,000
4 - 14,000
5 - 12,000
6 - 10,000
But the amount you need to reach is always 100,000 Mercuries. You can choose not to reach this amount, as long as you cover your expenses - that is, make a profit. However, in this case, the reward will be significantly lower, but remember: the greater your profit, the more numen, and in the case of a guild Trade assignment, the more guild merits you will receive.
To complete the assignment and receive the reward, return to any trader and select the first line in the dialog window: "Guild Trade Calculation." The opened window will show the profit and reward you will receive. If you did not conduct any trade deals, you will not receive any rewards upon calculation. If you bought some goods and submitted the quest, resulting in a loss rather than a profit, you will lose Trader honor.
If you lack time to complete the assignment or need to urgently enter an instance, you can cancel the quest in the personal trade window by pressing the "Cancel" button. You will lose a certain amount of Trader honor points (~40 units). You can restore them with Christopher at a rate of 20 points for 20 silver coins.
Where to Run
The "Trade Journey" quest can be completed in 3 locations - Triumph Valley, Freedom Islands, and Eldaram.

Before the Legion of Storms took over a significant part of Ost, traders stood by the guild base mnemoliths, located in 5 major game locations: Great Valley, Sands of Oblivion, Wonderwood, Darkwood, and Smoky Wasteland. However, events in the world of Eyr forced traders to flee with all their goods to safer areas.

Traders retained their goods and sales locations. For example, if a certain product from the Fairy Circle could previously be profitably sold at Bramble Glade, now it is profitable to transport it from the Mercenary Camp to the Broken Claw accordingly.
Every day, prices for the same goods from the same traders change slightly. Therefore, sometimes at the same Trader profession level, the trade tour route may extend by one trade tour point on different days.
To successfully complete the quest and receive the maximum reward, you need to carefully weigh each step, calculating where it is profitable to sell and what is better to buy, while minimizing time costs. However, for those who do not want to spend extra time calculating the most optimal trade route for themselves, there is an example of a simple and quick trade path.
A trade assignment can be started from any point, moving further along the markers on the goods.
Guild Trade Assignment
Guild Exchange Leader. If you are in a guild, you will have access to a Guild Trade assignment, for which, in addition to numen and trader honor, you will receive guild merits and also replenish the Guild Fund with gold coins. The reward received for completing a guild trade assignment, like a personal assignment, depends on the profit you receive.
Approaching the Exchange Leader on the Guild Trade Records. third floor of your base, you can view which participants, when, and how much they contributed to the guild's capital. To do this, select the first line ( Check Guild Trade Records) in the NPC dialog window. In the opened window, you can see which participant completed a trade journey at what time and day, and how much income came to the base from their side (income is calculated in gold coins).
At the Guild Trader, you can learn trader skills, and depending on your Trader profession level and Guild Exchange level, you can expand your trade inventory by 2 additional slots. The NPC will have the line "Gift of the Successful Trader." Having 2 additional slots significantly simplifies completing Trade quests.
If during this trade journey you are killed by representatives of another guild, in addition to losing trader honor, all your income from the journey will go to the enemy treasury.
Merchant Time
Once a week, the Guild Leader or Treasurer can launch the "Merchant Time" event. The event lasts 30 minutes. Guild members completing deals during this time can earn more income, as well as Gold coins from the Guild Wealth (similar to the "Guild Gold" event). "Merchant Time" can be launched any day from 10:00 to 23:59. The event launch is accompanied by "advertising" in the World chat.

FAQ
Q: How do I start a Trade Journey?
A: Visit a Trade Journey NPC in major cities. Pick a route (different difficulty/reward tiers), pay the entry fee, then physically travel to the destination city without losing your trade goods.
Q: What if I get attacked?
A: Some Trade Journey routes are PvP-flagged — you can be killed by other players who steal a portion of your trade goods. Others are PvE-only with NPC bandit ambushes. Pick PvE for safer income.
Q: Trade Journey vs daily quests for income?
A: Trade Journey gives bigger one-time rewards but takes longer per attempt. Best to interleave with dailies — start a Trade Journey, complete dailies in transit zones, deliver at destination.
Q: Is this activity worth doing daily?
A: For active players past level 50, yes — recurring activities provide reliable income that compounds across weeks. Skip only if scheduled timing genuinely doesn't fit your play sessions.
