Challenge Expedition

Overview

Challenge Expedition is one of Forsaken World's endgame expeditions — a sprawling endgame expedition system — multiple zones with chained encounters, progression unlocks, and tier rewards. Challenge Expedition is the largest endgame content surface, offering enough activity to fill weeks of cap-level play. Drop highlights include rare-tier consumables, premium materials, and exclusive cosmetic mounts.

How It Works

Expedition Window

To participate in the Challenge Expedition roulette, open the squad window using the hotkey "T" or the button in the main menu. Select the type of expedition you are interested in and click the "Apply" button.

Once the preliminary squad formation window appears, the system will randomly select an expedition for you to enter after loading. All expeditions have the same chance of being selected, so if you end up in the Dark Gnome Mine three times in a row when applying for "Challenge Expedition III," it's just your exceptional luck.

You can register for challenge expeditions solo or as part of a group. Participation requires energy or patience points.

Each type of expedition includes specific dungeons, and completing them can earn you various rewards: War God Points, Guardian Glory Points, prizes from Luck Roulettes, experience points, and numia.

Luck Roulettes

Reward Window

Luck Roulettes are a special type of reward for completing a Challenge Expedition. After finishing an expedition, a reward window with three chests will appear, some of which can be opened.

It's important to remember that this type of reward is only available when applying through the expedition registration system. If you enter through an NPC, the chest reward does not appear. The same applies if you re-enter the expedition through an NPC after being disconnected during the automatic squad selection window.

Victory Expedition It's easy to determine if you'll receive a chest at the end of the expedition. After loading into the expedition, a new quest, "Victory Expedition," appears in the quest tracking list. Completing its conditions will allow you to receive a deserved reward at the end.

The number of available chests varies depending on the type and kind of expedition. You can try your luck again by making a paid attempt: pressing the "Another Push" button consumes gold coins, but the number of available chests increases by 1.

After opening a chest, one of the three types of Luck Roulettes will appear on the screen.

All rewards obtained from the roulettes are bound to the character and cannot be transferred to other players.

All expeditions are divided into specific types based on several factors: the type of expeditions, the required player level, and the number of energy or patience points needed to apply.

Random Challenge Expedition

These are expeditions for gear, with rewards varying depending on the minimum level of players who can apply for the expedition.

Random Challenge Expedition I

Participation requires 24 patience points. All participants must be at least level 30.

• Available Expeditions:

  • Velkian Castle (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Lighthouse (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Abyss Gate (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).

• Reward Options:

Random Challenge Expedition II

Participation requires 12 patience points. All participants must be at least level 60.

• Available Expeditions:

  • Underground Prison (1 chest + 1 paid attempt).
  • Ancestral Crypt (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Crypt Surroundings (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).

• Reward Options:

Random Challenge Expedition III

Participation requires 15 patience points. All participants must be at least level 75.

• Available Expeditions:

  • Shadowland of Masters (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Dark Gnome Mine (3 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Ancient Tomb (1 chest + 1 paid attempt).
  • Tower of Eternity (1 chest + 1 paid attempt).

Resource Expeditions

These are special types of expeditions, with rewards depending on your character's level.

Wheel of Fate

Participation requires 12 energy points. It opens at specific times:

• 12:00 to 12:30
• 14:00 to 14:30
• 16:00 to 16:30
• 18:00 to 18:30
• 20:00 to 21:00
• 22:00 to 23:00

All participants must be at least level 50.

• Available Expeditions:

  • Glimmering Lowland (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).

  • Aurora Crisis (3 chests + 1 paid attempt).

  • Fisher's Hunting Grounds. Randomly sends you to one of three types of expeditions:

    • Dryads (3 chests + 1 paid attempt).
    • Insects (3 chests + 1 paid attempt).
    • Nagas (1 chest + 1 paid attempt).

  • Crimson Twilight. Randomly sends you to one of three types of expeditions: Burning Village, Wolf Mountain, or Sunset Bastion (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).

Random Rift

Participation requires 12 energy points. It opens at specific times:

• 15:00 to 15:30

• 19:00 to 20:00

• 23:00 to 00:00

• Available Expeditions:

  • Sandy Tomb. For characters level 40-59 (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Ghost Castle. For characters level 40-69 (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Castle Depths. For characters level 50-79 (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Water Cage. For characters level 60-89 (3 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Wind Chambers. For characters level 70-90 (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Hall of Trees. For characters level 80+ (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).
  • Temple of Light. For characters level 80+ (2 chests + 1 paid attempt).

Energy and Patience

Energy and patience are the two most important resources for registering in Challenge Expeditions. Patience points can be restored in several ways:

1. Simply by being in the game (9 points per hour; 3 points per hour up to 8 hours if you are offline).
2. Using the Challenge Expedition window interface, exchange Shalia's Graces for 24 patience points. Up to 20 exchanges can be made per week, with each subsequent exchange requiring more Shalia's Graces than the previous one.
3. Exchange grace with Vanessa. You can exchange 100 grace points daily for 10 patience points.
4. Exchange guild merits with the Well Defender at the Guild Base. You can replenish 30 patience points daily by exchanging 3 guild merits for them.
5. Once a day from 18:00 to 22:00, receive 60 points in the Shalia's Gifts Shop "Rewards" Menu.

Energy can be replenished by:

1. Simply being in the game (9 points per hour; 3 points per hour up to 8 hours if you are offline).
2. Using the Challenge Expedition interface, exchange Shalia's Graces for 24 energy points. Up to 20 exchanges can be made per week, with each subsequent exchange requiring more Shalia's Graces than the previous one.
