Overview

Choosing Faith is the process of picking your patron god in Forsaken World — a meaningful long-term decision that shapes your endgame talisman, wing, and faith-blessing options. Players choose at the Choosing Faith NPC after completing the level-40 main questline.

This article covers mechanics, progression paths, and tips for getting the most from this system.

Beginning the Journey

Hendalif

Before starting the quest chain for choosing faith, ensure you have the necessary skills: "Observation", "Threat", and "Persuasion".

To receive the "Choosing Faith" quest, complete the Guide Quest "Stones of Faith". Quests follow a specific order, so you must complete the previous one to receive the next. The "Choosing Faith" guide quest becomes available immediately after the "Stones of Magic" guide quest, on the Encyclopedia panel above the mini-map. The chain begins with NPC Hendalif near the Book Chamber

in Freedom Harbor with the quest "The Sovereign's Assignment" or in Freedom Harbor with Henry.

Hendalif has good news that the ruler Austin Apelio wishes to see you in his palace in the city of Hossinger and speak with you privately. Agreeing will give you access to "Portal to Hossinger", instantly transporting you there.

In Hossinger, the quest "House of Apelio" will appear, providing an auto-path to Austin Apelio, the ruler of humans.

Aiven
After speaking with Austin, you receive the quest "Royal Assignment", where you must talk to Aiven (standing near the king), who will give you the sovereign's task.

Aiven shares news that the Sovereign constantly sends people to explore the City of Mages in the Magic Wasteland. They found ancient books mentioning "Dementing". The Sovereign hopes to find this artifact.

Gallen
You are sent to find this artifact. The king knows it is difficult to find, so there is no time limit, but once Dementing is found, you must deliver it to King Austin. After this conversation, you receive the quest "Artifact of the City of Mages", and from Aiven, you get a message from Kamer (quest "Kamer's Assignment"). In your backpack, there will be an Envelope to read, after which you must speak with Constable Gallen of the Lion Hearts.

From Gallen, you learn that Kazmer's servants caught a suspicious guy and almost killed him. The guy and other suspects are held in the Watchmen's Village southeast of Hossinger.

You need to urgently go to the Watchmen's Village to find them, receiving the quest "Watchmen's Village" where you meet Kvili, Kazmer's trusted person.

Kvili tells you that his home, family, and village were destroyed. A few days ago, some people came to the village and stayed at the inn. Kvili thought they looked like criminals. Later, a terrible shaggy monster ran through the village street, killing everyone in its path. The strangers subdued the werewolf, but thugs appeared to protect the werewolf.

After speaking with Kvili, you get the quest "Missing Werewolf", located in the Rebel Union territory, east of the village, where the werewolf must be killed.

Terras
After killing the werewolf, you obtain a seal, and to learn more about it, visit librarian Terrence, a student of Nazarius.

Upon arrival, activate the "Blood Sign" in your backpack to revive the dead. However, he won't tell you anything without a small favor. You need to kill 99 mercenaries and collect their blood to obtain the blood of freedom.

When you bring him the blood, the Dead will tell you how the Blood Sign was used in the City of Mages and how it led to his downfall. Before resting in peace, the dead will name the person behind it all: Cullen.

Eva
Terrence shows you to approach and then directs you to Eva in the Twilight Village. Eva is an Informant at the Iron Market and does not trust words not backed by coin.

If you bring him three piles of logs, he will give you a new lead to find Dementing: he will tell you about his father and ancestors. From the story, it is clear that Dementing was stolen, and details may be known by the captain of the Citadel guards, named Zulong.

You will have the quest "Mysterious People", where you need to find Karrel. He is one of the Reddit tribe, which Ruis mentioned earlier. From Karrel, you learn that Dementing is in the Night Citadel. But Karrel is too weak and needs magic to recover, so you must hurry and bring 50 "Large OM Tonic", which can be obtained from any potion merchant.

You have two paths to choose from: the Light Faith or the Dark Faith. The Light Faith opens your mind to the divine, while the Dark Faith allows you to study everything and understand it in practice. A window will open where you can learn about the light and dark faith.

Make a deal with Karrel, bring him Dementing, and he will show the path to the light or dark faith.

It is very important to gather as much information as possible about your opponent, so you need to contact Eva.

Eva advises you to speak with Baroness Karuel, Snow's companion, where you will learn more necessary information.

From the baroness, you learn that she meets Snow every evening in the backyard of the Scarlet Villa.

Dementing
